Wie stark krängt das Boot unter Segeln?
10-20° auf Raumschotkurs sind normal. Vor dem Wind liegt sie fast flach. Am Wind bei 25 kn kann sie bis zu 30° erreichen, aber meist wird bei 10-18 kn raumschots gesegelt — die Krängung gehört dann zum Erlebnis, nicht zum Problem.
Sind Sailboote schwierig für Nicht-Segler?
Nicht wirklich. Die Crew kann im Cockpit (oder unter Deck) bleiben, während der Skipper segelt. An den Neigungswinkel gewöhnt man sich nach einem Tag. Die meisten Crews finden Sailboote bis Mittwoch 'echter' als Katamarane.
Welche Bootsgröße brauche ich für 4 Personen?
38-42 ft. 38 ft bedeutet zwei Kabinen + Salon (knapp, aber machbar), 42 ft sind drei Kabinen (komfortabel). Alles über 45 ft ist für 4 Personen überdimensioniert, außer man will zusätzlichen Platz.
Kommt ein Sailboot überall hin, wo auch ein Katamaran hinkommt?
Fast. Der tiefere Tiefgang (1,8 m gegenüber 1,2 m) hält einen aus einer Handvoll sehr flacher Buchten heraus — Vis (Stončica), einige griechische Häfen. 95 % der Ankerplätze sind für beide problemlos.
